''Those People'' is an American drama film, released in 2015.〔("'Those People': Provincetown Review" ). ''The Hollywood Reporter'', June 23, 2015.〕 The film stars Jonathan Gordon and Jason Ralph as Charlie and Sebastian, childhood best friends now in young adulthood. Charlie is an art student, whose unrequited love for Sebastian influences his art, while Sebastian has been in a state of personal crisis since his wealthy financier father's (Daniel Gerroll) arrest on white collar criminal charges. After moving into Sebastian's apartment to help him through his bouts of depression and alcohol abuse, Charlie is drawn into a love triangle when he meets Tim (Haaz Sleiman), a successful concert pianist. The cast also includes Britt Lower, Meghann Fahy, Chris Conroy and Allison Mackie. Kuhn has described the film as having been inspired by his own experience falling in love with his best friend in university, as well as by his fascination with the story of Bernie Madoff's son Mark, who committed suicide two years after his father's arrest.〔("‘Those People’ Movie Takes on Love Triangles and Financial Scandals" ).
